Take one little girl with chocolate brown eyes -

add flour

sugar

eggs

milk

cocoa powder

and mix well.

Revenge of the Chickens !

Poor, poor Meg ! She felt ill last week, and little spots started appearing at the weekend. They got worse, and she is now covered in them, but is feeling a lot better.  She can't go back to nursery school till the spots have gone. She's been very, very itchy !

Luckily, so far, no-one else is showing any sign of spots, but we'll have to keep an eye on all the kids !!

Birthday Girl !!

Today is Meg's 3rd birthday. She got lots of wonderful presents, and was treated like a princess for the day !

Meg Blows her Nose

Last week, Meg had a runny nose - but she insisted that SHE blow it. And as I had the camera in my hand, she told me to take photos of her blowing her nose, because she's such a big girl now. So here she is, blowing her nose all by herself.

There we go - all clean now !!!    

Meg's Christmas Party.

Meg had a Christmas Party at Nursery School this morning - and guess who turned up on the Fire Engine ? Father Christmas of course. And Daddy was with him.

A Beautiful Train

Its getting cold !!! It's supposed to get below freezing tomorrow. Roz - I bet it's a lot colder in Toronto right now.

We had a quiet day. Basil was out this afternoon. Mum & I just sat around. Sh'e not feeling too good again, and has gone to bed early. If she keeps this up, I'll be phoning the Doctor tomorrow for antibiotics.

I saw Tim for 10 minutes then he dashed out to play. Dashed back in at 5, picked up his satchel, and flew off home !! Speedy Gonzalez.

Meg is here at moment, and has just had fish & chips with us. Sean and Shell have gone to a meeting at the Nursery school. They'll be here to pick her up in half an hour. I had to show everyone that she made a beautiful train - so here you are.

A Pumpkin and Monsters

Meg & Jason went trick or treating half an hour ago. Tim has just rushed off to find them !!!

Eventually Tim found them, and came back - so I could get a photo of him.

They all had a great time - and are sure to feel sick tomorrow !!!

A Weekend in Preston

We had a lovely weekend. We went to Preston on Friday afternoon to fetch Mum. They got back from Canada on Wednesday - they had a wonderful time !! So...we had a quiet weekend with James. We didn't do much at all - never do when we are there. It's a time to relax !! We got back home today, and the kids came round this afternoon after Tim's football match. Guess what - he got Man of the Match - again !!! Is he a great kid or what ???

Everyone is fine here. The kids go back to school tomorrow after a week's break. I think they are as glad as the parents ! Jason is working very hard at his paper round - so he'll be up bright and early. We put the clocks back last night - not nice. It's going to be dark by 5.00pm - ugh !

After Church this afternoon, Nat Mienie & Karen came to visit. It was really great to see them. Thanks for coming you two !!

Update on Meg's Portrait

A Portrait of Meg

All is well here. Not much happening. I'm painting a portrait of Meg. Slow going, and each layer is taking a while to dry. Progress pics below. Still a way to go.

I had to make changes to her lips - they weren't right. I've altered this just to bring up the colour a bit more (now it's a bit too bright !!). I'll show a photo when it's finished in a few days.

Wednesday over and out !

It was a bright, clear day today - but cool.

Sean went to the specialist this morning, and they have set his hand in a permanent cast - not to be removed for ay least 5 weeks. So he won't be fighting fires in the next month at least. It's not hurting him too much, but it's awkward with only one hand, and he can't drive.

Meg was so sweet today. We went to school on the bus, and she posed for me before we left (with some of the babies, of course).

Tim came late afternoon. He's fine. I haven't seen Jason since Sunday though.

I also managed another hour on the painting - still not finished. I'll try again tomorrow. It's not a good photo of the painting. I'll try to take a better one when it's finished.

Can't believe Wednesday is over. Where do the days go ? Lottery draw tonight - keep your fingers crossed.
