I spent yesterday in hospital, and all went well. The staff at the Horton Hospital in Banbury were wonderful. They made the experience far from unpleasant. A biopsy of tissue in my bladder was performed, and now I wait for the results.
I must admit I wasn't nervous at all. My greatest fear was that I'd be seen in public without my top teeth !!! I have dentures on the top, and no-one...I repeat....no-one...has ever seen me bare-gummed (not even dear old Baz). I knew I'd be mortified if I was wheeled back to the ward, gums flapping. I told the nurses that they could hang me in admission, stark naked, by the stirrups - just make sure my teeth are in. They complied (not with the hanging bit), and I felt fine. I was home mid-afternoon, very drowsy, and had an early night. I feel fine this morning - just a bit tender, so I'll take it easy today.
