Living in a Box

Just a few photos that I managed to take this morning (in between bouts of heavy rain).  Here in Oxfordshire, we haven't experienced the really bad weather that was predicted for southern counties. Towns along the coast had an awful time yesterday - lots of damage. We have had some heavy rain, and strong winds, but nothing too serious.

It's so wonderful to know that the ground is warming up outside - and life is beginning once again.  I cannot wait to get my hands into the soil. Pity about my nails though. I've managed to grow them for the first time in years *sigh*.

 

Waking Up

Yes...we're still here. We're just waking up from a long winter of hibernation.

Now that spring is on it's way, and the ground is warming up, I'll be spending more time on this blog. It feels like its been a long winter - too long. But, thankfully, the warmer weather always comes back !

Not much has happened in the garden over the winter.  Daffs are about to burst into bloom, tulips won't be far behind them. Photos will follow - if there's a break in the rain. Hopefully, within a few weeks, the temps will be rising, I will be out in my little patch again, and all will be right with the world. That's the plan.
