2007 will be the year of change in this little house and garden we call "The Box". We have been renting this house for 2 years, and never did much with it (or the garden) as we thought we'd be buying our own home. But we are likely to be here another few years before we can buy, so we are making the house and garden more comfortable. I am also looking for an allotment nearby.

Green Fingered Friday

Have I got green fingers ?? I'd say so !!!

I managed to get the back fence finished this afternoon. Only the left side to go - about 18 feet. I'll tackle that tomorrow.

I had a great afternoon, and got a lot done. I've fed all the plants on the right hand side of the garden, and will feed the left side tomorrow.

I planted the long trough with herbs a couple of days ago.

Today I potted up some sage & marjoram in this gorgeous blue pot. (This was one of the pots given away by the folk on our local freecycle).

Everything in the garden looks happy and healthy. I was a bit worried about the night temperatures dropping, but so far we have been lucky. The garden is so small, and fully enclosed - so it does warm up quickly. If I discover that temps are going to plummet, I'll make sure I cover everything.

The peas are looking great !

I got quite a few seeds sown in trays (and a few hardy annuals outdoors). Where I'm going to plant everything I just don't know. I think I have been over-eager...but I can always pass things on to the children.
