How to train and build muscles after a layoff.
I have had a very difficult 4 months. I managed to damage my elbow so badly that even working on the computer was difficult. I hurt it while lifting some boxes in my garage - lifting at an awkward angle. It just goes to show that an injury can happen even when you have reasonably strong muscles and are fit.
The more you miss training the easier it is to make excuses not to train. Even when I could feel that it was not that sore any more, and I could have started to train, I kept making excuses not to train. I had good intentions but not the motivation - even though I work with motivation all day with my clients. LOL I guess you could say that it is the panel beater whose car has the most dents.
I then received this message and it was all that I needed to get me back into the gym. Especially this bit “You might, scratch that, you HAVE just have saved my LIFE”. On reading this I decided I really need to save my own life by training properly again. Here is the full message

Hey Baz I just wanted to say that you have helped me out a whole bunch with your videos! Keep up the great work! I'm just going to say that if I'm as ripped as you are at that age, not just for the looks but for the health benefits, I'll be the happiest man alive. I am currently 22 years old and training hard and your videos keep me inspired and motivated! I just wanted to thank you via this message and tell you that you are an inspiration! You might, scratch that, you HAVE just have saved my LIFE by making those videos. Take care and keep doing what you do.
Best regards,
Headturna
I hope this will help any one else who has experienced what I have experienced. I am looking forward to some meaningful results. Baz
