I have been asked how to get veins to stand out. Well there are so many different theories about why veins stand out. This information that I got from Dr John Landi is probably about the most reliable I have found.
“Veins return blood back to the heart and can carry a large volume of blood. Depending on many factors including levels of hydration, genetics, outside temperature and even physical activity, the size of the veins will vary. Another important function of the veins is to help control body temperature and this too will affect vein size. Also with aging, veins enlarge as tissue volume decreases.”
I have found that my veins do not naturally stand out. However, when I reduce body fat, they stand out quite a bit more. I have also found that when I do light weights with lots of reps they tend to stand out a lot more then when I do heavy weights with only a few reps.
There is a lot of info saying that if you drink a lot of water and flush out the sodium in your system your veins will stand out more too.
I would stay away from any pill that claims to make your veins stand out. Remember that veins return blood to the heart and I would not want to take anything that might interfere with the way the natural system of how our bodies work.
