Erin had a good day today. Muffy and her are becoming good friends. She chattering away in a language all of her own. It makes us laugh so much. She says the strangest words !
Concentrating very hard. She's discovered that she can press things in the house and it makes sounds.
She had a good, but long day. Sean was stuck in a traffic jam, and only got home at 7.30pm. She was really ready for bed by then.
Love to all Shell. We love you and miss you both very much.
Here's our weather since you've been gone Shell. We managed to go for a long walk this morning in between showers.

She was so sweet today. She is just so funny !! A real comedian. She ate and slept well, but I think she's beginning to miss you both. Wednesday tomorrow - so only another week. We talk about you both all the time - just so she doesn't think you've disappeared.
She had just woken up after her morning sleep, and would NOT hand over the dummy !
She has a new friend who is keeping her very busy. Meet Muffy. She's 9 years old, very calm & sweet. Still a bit unsure of herself, but she's getting used to us.
She's waiting to meet Meg.

I have a lot of catching up to do, but I told Michelle I would post a daily photo of Erin. Shell and Meg are in SA while her Dad has a heart op. (We're thinking of you all and praying for him). So Sean and Erin are here in England, and I bet they are all missing each other ! So for the next 10 days it's all about Erin !! Here's todays update.
She was fine today - very cheerful, and so sweet. She slept for an hour this morning, and again this afternoon. We went for a good walk this morning, in between rain showers. The weather is lousy, but not cold. She played all day, ate well, and slept well. Typical Erin !
I do hope you get a chance to get on the Internet Shell. Give our love to all. Meg - Erin loves you.
I've been looking over all my old tapes from my camera - and have decided to turn what I can into little vidoes, and put them on here. Here's the first one.
This was in September 2001, the month before we came to England. We went down to Sean & Shell in Benoni for a few days. This was in the front garden, and Jason was gioving us a Karate display.
Erin was enjoying a chocolate biscuit in the garden today.
Then she decided she wanted me to pick her up.
I took one look at her hands and face and said "No way !!"

She watches Lazytown on TV, and she knows that sportscandy will make her fit. Look !

One warm day in May, Sean & Terry watched the sport...

....& Jo sat outside in the garden....
Erin was really thirsty....
And Granddad was really hungry...so he ate chocolate cake.
May brought sunshine, and we were all happy to be warm - especially the flowers.
Erin had to learn to keep her hat on - she's still learning !
Fiona had a birthday !! She turned 30 something.
Meg had a great birthday party in April. I'll upload all the photos into an album later.
She had a clown at he party. She was a bit nervous of him at first.
Amd in April, Tim broke his collar bone. He was on his bike on a ramp and he fell off, and landed on his shoulder. Ouch !!
Meg was just generally cute.
And Erin was a princess.
At the end of April, Baz decided to go and find his body - and decided to blog about it at BuildingMuscles.org.uk
April brought some snow.
...and Erin dressed up as a Fairy.

Ooooh - its been a long time. November ??? Where did 6 months go.
We are all alive and well. In fact, our lives must be pretty boring as there's not too much to report. Life goes on. The kids/grandkids are all doing fine. I'll have to look through my photos to repost some of the goings-on. I'll spread the update over a couple of posts - I think it'll be too many photos for one post.
Tim started High School last September. Cute hair Tim.
Jason turned 15 in December - what a man !
We all had a great Xmas 2007.
In January, Grandma went back to Zim.
Ben had a birthday in February (can't find the photo but I'll add it when I do).
Tim turned 12 in February & developed Abs.
In March Baz & I went to Scotland for a little holiday.
It was cold, but we had a wonderful time. We stayed in a self-contained cottage on a farm in the Highlands - very nice.
Terry turned 26 !

Lots of photos that need to be put on here - so let's go !! This was while Erin was recovering from the dreaded Pox.
Meg's spots are clearing up, but now Erin and Michelle have them. This little Calamine Kid is so itchy. This photo was taken when she only had a few spots - now she's coverd in them ! Poor Mish feels really ill. She's been in bed for 3 days now.
Take one little girl with chocolate brown eyes -
add flour
sugar
eggs
milk
cocoa powder
and mix well.
Et Voila !!!
Poor, poor Meg ! She felt ill last week, and little spots started appearing at the weekend. They got worse, and she is now covered in them, but is feeling a lot better. She can't go back to nursery school till the spots have gone. She's been very, very itchy !
Luckily, so far, no-one else is showing any sign of spots, but we'll have to keep an eye on all the kids !!
Where has the summer gone ? What summer ? You may well ask !! It has been wet and cool, and not much fun. We have had good days here and there...have been out and about a lot....but it's now autumn (fall Roz) and it'll be winter before we know it. So a catch up.
I'm trying to find all the birthday photos to share with you, and will post them as soon as I do (we've done a lot of birthday eating lately !) In the meantime, these are all just random photos.
June brought Shell's birthday - a spring chicken.
Mum arrived at the end of June (or maybe the beginning of July - can't remember). She is well and has put weight on !!! Now I'm trying to stop her eating...I think I'll have to gag her.
July - Sean and Jo had a birthday - and we had cake. Delicious.
Tim was in the end of year musical at school (Bugsy Malone). It was his last year at Junior School. Here he is singing a solo - he was so good !! He started High School a couple of weeks ago and loves it.
And we had floods in July - this is a photo of Tim and his friend, in the floodwater, just a few doors from us. We didn't have any damage thank goodness.
In August Mum & Baz had a birthday - and we had cake again (no wonder I need to lose quite a few pounds !)
The kids are all fine. Jason & Tim had a good summer. Lots of skateboarding...lots of friends around...busy, busy, busy. Jason's leg is fully healed...but he is not up to his normal skateboarding yet. It won't take long though.
Meg & Erin are also fine. Meg is really growing up. She is more like a 6/7 year old than a 3 year old. Her vocabulary is amazing. Erin is the cutest, sweetest baby ever...and so good. She is 3 1/2 months old, and had her 2 bottom teeth before 3 months. So advanced. She has the sweetest nature.
Fi & Ben are great..always busy at work poor things. It's not easy is it ?
Sean & Michelle are also great....and Shell is really enjoying this time at home with the kids. I'm sure she's not looking forward to going back to work in the new year.
Yes...Terry & Jo are married !!!! The wedding was beautiful, and we all had a really good time. I'll put up an album of the wedding photos later today (on the left).
It feels great that all 3 are married and happy, and one day when they all grow up and leave home, I'll be a very satisfied Mummy !!!!! Joking !
Bas & I are fine. I've had a good summer....gardening...mucking about !! We took Mum up to Preston in August, and fetched her the week before the wedding. We all went out for dinner to celebrate James' 80th birthday. So old..poor thing !!! Actually, he's really doing well.
While we were there, we saw an advert for a puppy, and we couldn't help ourselves. So...here's Jack ! He's a Jack Russel, and has settled down really well. He is already house-trained. It only took a couple of weeks. One happy puppy.
So...that's it - our summer in a few short paragraphs. Yes...time really does fly.
We have a new baby. She was born at 3.53 this morning, and weighed in at 9lbs 9ozs !! She's got chubby cheeks and is the most beautiful baby in the world !! Of course. Michelle is doing very well. It wasn't a bad labour, and only lasted about 7 hours. Of course, we were all up half the night, so we're knackered. Sean & Shell never slept at all last night !
